Keswick bowled South Road out for 127 runs with McCabe again taking 4/24 and Liam Harris 3/45 off 17 overs straight. Kevin Caulfield as the opening batsman also won the Association wicket keeping with 49 votes out of a possible 55 votes. It was a great team effort by the B’s.

The C Grade struggled early losing their first two games, but improved losing only one more game during the year to the undefeated North Haven. Michael Williams resigned after the first few games and was replaced by first year player David Curyer. The Semi Final saw the C’s from fourth, play North Haven again in the perfect match. North Haven were bowled out for 78, and Keswick passed the score 5 down, making 143 runs. Greg Morris took 3/14 and Barry Kearsley 3/31. The Grand Final was one of the most remarkable victories in Keswick’s history. Plympton batting first were 5/183 at one stage until Greg Morris took a hat trick to finish with 4/47 while Andrew Mills took 3/14 also to restrict Plympton to 202. Chasing a difficult finals score Keswick stumbled to 7/92 until John Warne (57) and Greg Morris (37*) put on a 102 eighth wicket partnership. Mark Lewis came in at the end to hit a quick fire 16 and to end the game with a 6 to give Keswick one of their best ever victories and showing an example of Keswick’s never say die attitude. Greg Morris’s feats will go down in Keswick folklore.

The first Semi-Final was drawn due to the heat policy. Keswick made 7/243 and were confident in defending this but never the less by finishing top earned a right to go straight through to the Grand Final. After finishing minor premiers the year prior, the A grade came from fourth to win the premiership. They won the Semi Final in an away game against Cove, who were chasing four premierships in a row. Keswick won by 6 wickets with Heath MacKay making 71* and captain James Clarke 28*, steering Keswick home. In the Grand Final, Keswick defeated Plympton on their home ground to win the club’s third division one premiership. Keswick made 7/190, largely thanks to the opening partnership between Steve Verco with 46 and Steve McRae with 53 runs. Our bowlers defended this well, all contributing to restrict Plympton to 165. It was a well-earned victory and one the club had been striving for since 1995/96.

Led brilliantly by first time captain Craig Coretti, the B grade was a very even team – with all players contributing to the success during the year. The team finished the minor season third leaving their two best games for the finals. Keswick batted first in both finals (sent in on Grand Final day) and made the most of this, scoring over 200 each time (first time scoring over 200 for the year). In the Semi Final, Keswick made 7/253 with a 120 run third-wicket partnership between Ross Ormsby and Will Worthington setting up the good total. Will Worthington made 64 runs, Chris Jeffery 58 runs and Ross Ormsby 85 runs in that game. Keswick bowled Coromandel Ramblers out for 173. In the Grand Final against Southern, Keswick were sent in and made 9/218. Chris Jeffery was once again the hero, scoring 54 runs. Keswick bowled Southern out for 183 with Stuart Ats taking 3/25 and the rest of the wickets shared. Great team camaraderie and great catches were a feature to bring Keswick home.
